About Dolce Chanticleer

Dolce Chanticleer is a Kuching-based vocal ensemble founded in 2015 by soprano and choir director Sabrina Tnay, formed with the mission of fostering goodwill, unity, and cultural harmony through music. Over the years, the ensemble has become one of Sarawak’s notable choral groups, known for its warm vocal blend, disciplined musicianship, and expressive versatility across genres.

The ensemble performs an extensive repertoire that spans sacred classical works, contemporary choral compositions, jazz arrangements, folk music, and popular selections. This wide artistic range enables Dolce Chanticleer to connect with diverse audiences in both formal concert settings and community celebrations.

Dolce Chanticleer's musical journey is marked by significant achievements on the international stage. In 2025, the ensemble won First Prize in the Choir/Ensemble Category at the UK International Music Competition, a recognition that affirms its excellence in ensemble singing. In the same year, the group received the Gold Prize in the Best Choir/Ensemble – Music Choir Category at the Best Classical Musicians Awards (2025, Season 3). Additionally, the ensemble earned a Distinction in the Advanced Choral Singing Examination from the Royal Academy of Music, reflecting its commitment to technical and artistic excellence.

Beyond competitions, Dolce Chanticleer has been actively involved in major cultural events, including multiple appearances at the Sarawak International Festival of Music & Arts (SIFMA). A memorable highlight was its participation in the 2023 Christmas caroling gathering that brought together over 2,000 singers, contributing to a record-setting community celebration in Kuching.

Today, Dolce Chanticleer continues to grow as a vibrant choral presence in Sarawak, performing in concerts, festivals, and community events while inspiring audiences with the beauty and harmony of choral music.
